Sharon Johnson MIoEE ![]()
Sharon has worked in the finance sector all her career. Starting at a firm of solicitors as a bookkeeper she then moved to Barclays Bank where she progressed through various sections including cashier, foreign exchange and securities. Having taken a career break to start a family she decided to refresh her knowledge base by undertaking RSA Bookkeeping.
Sharon then joined a local firm of Accountants, Brading Barber who later merged with Horwath Clark Whitehehill. During her time with HCW she worked directly with clients assisting with both Bookkeeping and the preparation of Management Accounts. She also provided training on behalf of HCW for their clients in Sage Instant, Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll. She also completed the Association of Accounting Technicians Course.
Sharon is a member of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs and a registered Mentor under the Government backed Gert Mentoring Scheme.
When she is not working Sharon is actively involved with the St John Ambulance which she joined at the age of 13 and currently holds the position of County Commander managing both paid staff and the volunteers throughout the county. (Scroll Down to view QR Code)
Nigel Coombs FCCA
Nigel has worked within the accounting function for thirty years and is a Fellow of both the ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the AAT, Association of Accounting Technicians. In 1990 he joined a firm of practising accountants in London’s West End where he was promoted to Practice Manager responsible not only for a portfolio of clients but also the day to day smooth running of the office. In 2005 Nigel decided to set up Coombs and Company, his own practice based in Newbury. Included within his varied portfolio of clients he has a number of art dealers some of whom he has worked with for twenty years. In consequence he has an in depth knowledge especially from a VAT perspective in this complex field.
When he is not working Nigel is a keen Badminton player playing regularly in the local leagues. (Scroll Down to view QR Code)
Grahame Johnson MIoEE ![]()
Grahame has had a varied career starting as a Draughtsman in the construction industry before moving into procurement with Foster Wheeler World Services. In 1983 he joined quite a small operation based in Newbury with approximately 58 employees which later grew into the household name Vodafone. Grahame left Vodafone in 2003 having held various managerial positions including Head of Facilities Management responsible for the Facilities Management of the vast UK portfolio of property. He then became the Interim Managing Director of a Cleaning Company with a turnover of approx £11M leading the business through a sale and integration with another business.
An experienced Senior Manager with a passion for cost management and business improvement Grahame enjoys helping small businesses and their owners achieve more by focussing on the activities that add real value to the business operation.
Grahame is a member of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs and a registered Mentor under the Government backed Gert Mentoring Scheme.
When he is not working Grahame has recently discovered the enjoyment of taking a set of golf clubs for a walk, although in truth he is still trying to understand how they work!
